How to Be Less Whiny
A whiny person is usually someone who is complaining with an annoying tone. These are usually the people who rarely take action and only talk of taking action. They don't change their ways and they certainly don't change the world. If you want to be less whiny follow these steps.

1
Change your tone of voice. When you complain, do so in a manner that is more energetic. Put some force behind the complaint. Feel either pain or excitement with the complaint and say it that way. Get rid of the prolonged gradual complaint that has no force behind it. Act as if you mean it.

2
Take action. Combine the complaint with action. A whiny person is all talk, so change. Complain about things that you can affect and change. Walk up to the person who needs to hear the complaint and complain to her. Write a formal complaint and file it with whomever can make mountains move. Do something.

3
Reduce the number of complaints you voice. Many complaints are about things that there is very little control over. Leave those in the back of your mind and remind yourself to dump them in the trash at the first opportunity. Write it down and then throw it away. Distract yourself and if need be consult a doctor dealing with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

4
Surround yourself with a new crowd. Whiny people whine because someone is listening. Find people who will not stand for the whining and eat and drink with them. They may not want to be around you, so change will be forced upon you. Be ready for change, and change.
-
5
Reward yourself for not whining.
