How to Add Clip Art to OpenOffice
OpenOffice applications come with a wide selection of clip art that you can insert into a file. If you would like to add additional clip art into OpenOffice, you can do this easily. The steps below will tell you how you can add your saved clip art to your OpenOffice application.

Open an OpenOffice application, such as Writer or Impress that uses clip art in the documents you create.

Choose the "Tools" menu and click on "Gallery" to open the clip art gallery at the top of the screen.

Click the "New Theme" button on the top left of the OpenOffice gallery. The "Properties of New Theme" dialog box will open.

Delete the contents and type a name for the new clip art theme in the text box that says "New Theme." Click the "Files" tab of the "Properties of a New Theme" dialog box before moving on to the next step.

Click the "Find Files" button from the "Properties of a New Theme" dialog box to open the "Select Path" dialog box. Browse to select the folder that contains the clip art you want to add. Click the "OK" button to close the "Select Path" dialog box and add the folder to the "File Type" list in the "Properties of a New Theme" dialog box.

Select the files you want to add to the OpenOffice application as clip art and click the "Add" or "Add All" buttons on the right side of the "Properties of a New Theme" dialog box to add those files as clip art to your new theme.

Click the "OK" button to close the "Properties of a New Theme" dialog box and add a folder that contains the added clip art in the list box on the left side of the gallery pane.
