Step 1
Pick a console. If you don't own a gaming console, go out and buy one. To start, you may want to hone your game mastering skills on the Sony Playstation 2 or Xbox 360.
-
Step 2
Start with the classics. You can't expect as a newbie to play and master Halo 3 on your first outing. Start with simple games that you can easily master, like an older Final Fantasy game or one of the titles in the Resident Evil series.
-
Step 3
Give yourself a challenge. After playing a few of the simple games and mastering the use of your console controls, you can attempt to master a harder title. The newest releases often offer new challenges.
-
Step 4
Practice, practice and practice more. You're not going to become a master gamer overnight. You need to devote many hours playing games and learning all that you can about the games you play.
-
Step 5
Write reviews and walk-throughs for gamer sites. After you feel comfortable as a master gamer, share your knowledge with others. Log on IGN or Gamespot to write a review, provide cheats or give a walk-through of the game.
