Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Combat boots
- CDs
- Hair dye
- Plaid skirt
Step1
Go to punk clubs. Even small towns have at least one punk club or a town hall or lodge converted for shows. Act cool and support the bands and the venue by attending regularly.
Step2
Collect punk music and listen to the Misfits, The Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Buzzcocks, Social Distortion, Agent Orange, Rancid, the Skulls, the Stitches and other past and present punk rock bands. Check out punk rock websites and browse reviews before you buy.
Step3
Wear whatever looks and feels good. A punk rock girl needs her own style. Try combat boots with studded wristbands and short plaid skirts or jeans with a black leather jacket. A punk rock girl can be feminine in a baby doll or lace top or act like a tomboy in sloppy T-shirts and shorts.
Step4
Hang out with other punks. Punks get together at school, at restaurants or at one another's homes to listen to music and have fun. Fans and band members work together to promote music so get involved with musicians by posting flyers, working at a club or selling merchandise like buttons and T-shirts.
Step5
Create a bright, original punk hairstyle. Experiment with Mohawks, liberty spikes, blonde hair with purple streaks and anything that looks good on you. A punk girl needs to express her own personality, so be creative.
Step6
Grab a guitar and start your own band. A punk girl can rock as hard as a punk boy.
