Parent's Day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in July. It's a day to honor parents, both living and deceased. On this day, we recognize the importance of parents in our lives, as well as the commitment and sacrifices made by parents all over the world. Honor a deceased parent on this day in one of the following ways.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Take flowers to your deceased parent's grave site or memorial. Spend some time reflecting on what made your parent special to you. Thank them for what they did for you over the years.
Step2
Print a memorial in your local newspaper. You can include a picture of your parent as well as a note about who they were and what they meant to you.
Step3
Share your gratitude with friends and family. Tell stories about your deceased parent. Share pictures of all the good times you had with your parent.
Step4
Cook a meal that your deceased parent enjoyed preparing or eating. Invite other family members over to share the meal with you. Set a special place at the table for your deceased parent and light a candle in their honor. Talk about what made this person such a special parent to you.
Step5
Honor your deceased parent by passing on the unconditional love and acceptance your parent offered you. If you don't have your own children, consider volunteering on this special day. You can perform story time at your local children's hospital or offer to take a friend's children for the day so that she can take a well deserved break. Make your parent proud by acting selfless on this day, as they often did while parenting you.
