Download and install the Google Toolbar from Google's website to be able to access Google Notebook without leaving the webpage you're already on. You may also hear people call this a "browser extension."

Create a Google account and log in. Go to Google Notebook.

Click on "Create a New Notebook" located in the top left-hand corner of the screen. At the top of the main screen is a text box where you can type the name of your new notebook. Add your name and click "OK." Your new notebook should show up in the box to the left. Create as many notebooks as you need.

Add to your notebook by clicking on "Add Note." You can then add items to your notebook or divide the notebook into sections by creating a section title.

Clip information from various websites, such as images, text or links to your notebook. Highlight the web content you wish to add and paste it to your note in your notebook.

Include a comment about a note by selecting that note and clicking "Add Comment."

Move a note in your notebook by selecting that item and clicking on the down arrow to the right. Select "Move" and choose the notebook and section where you'd like to move that note.

Share your notebook with others online. Select the notebook you want to share and click "Share options" at the top. Enter the email addresses of the people you want to give viewing and editing access for that particular notebook. Be sure to separate the email addresses with a comma.

Publish your notebook. Make your notebook a public web page by going to the "Share options" at the top and selecting "Yes" to make it a public web page. You can then give people the unique web address Google assigns to your notebook.

Search your entire notebook with the Google Notebook search box found at the top of the page.
