Step 1
Check the rucksack for damage. The rucksack carries the paragliding equipment, so any damage to the rucksack is a signal of possible damage to the paragliding equipment.
-
Step 2
Inspect the wings. The material should be flexible and tightly fastened. The frame should be sturdy.
-
Step 3
Pull on all of the seams to check stability. Fix any weak seam before you use your paragliding equipment.
-
Step 4
Scrutinize joints. Securely weld any place where metal meets metal so that it can withstand the stress of your paragliding adventure.
-
Step 5
Look at the harness. Make sure that it is sturdy. All straps should be in good condition. If there is any visible wear or damage to the harness, have it professionally checked before you use it again.
-
Step 6
Notice any signs of ultraviolet deterioration. Some signs include spotted, stiff or faded material. Ultraviolet deterioration can happen even on paragliding equipment that is well cared for.
