How to Join Eons

Eons is an online social community for people over 40 years old. It has hundreds of social groups that you can join based on your interests. This community also has articles, games, book discussions and videos. Follow these steps if you'd like to join Eons.

Instructions

1. Go to Eons.com. Register for your free membership by providing your name, email address, date of birth, zip code, gender and a screen name and password. You must also agree to the "Terms of Use" and "Privacy" policies.

2. Know that Eons has been designed for people over middle age, but anyone over the age of 13 can join. Parental control is available.

3. Design your profile page by uploading a personal photo. Choose from photos provided if you don't have a personal photo or wish to remain anonymous.

4. Give a description of your interests. The more information you provide, the more chances to make friends that share your interests.

5. Join the Newcomers Club before joining any other groups so you can meet other newbies. Browse the groups selection to find the groups that interest you. After clicking the "Join Group" button, the group manager must approve your membership. You'll receive an email once you've been approved.

6. Subscribe to messages that you've read or written on your "groups" page. You'll receive an alert on your "MyEons" page every time there's a new reply to the message. When you're ready to stop receiving replies to the message, click on the "Unsubscribe to Message" link posted above the message.
