How to Join an Eons Group

Once you become a member of the online community Eons, in addition to creating your profile, you will most likely want to join groups of individuals who share common interests with you. Eons has more than 2,500 groups with a variety of topics. Joining any one of these groups is a quick and easy process.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

1. Log into your Eons account using your email address and password. This will bring you directly to your homepage.
2. Select the circle labeled "People" in the upper-left section of your Eons page. This will bring you to a new page where you can browse groups, search for a specific group using keywords or create your own group.
3. Read the description of any groups you think might interest you by clicking on the title of the group. Once you have found a group you want to join, simply click on "Join group" in the description box.
4. Decide how you want to receive messages from the group. You can choose to receive them individually, daily, weekly or not at all. If you choose not to receive emails, you can view the group's activity directly from your Eons homepage.
5. Click on "Join group" at the bottom of the page. From here, you will go to the group homepage where you will see a "thumbs-up" icon next to a welcome message advising you that you are now a member of the group.

Tips & Warnings

• Once you're a member, introduce yourself to the group to be polite to the other members and to make it easier for you to jump in and post messages yourself.
• Once you join a group, check back regularly to remain an active participant of the group and increase your enjoyment of the group experience.
