How to Register Your Classic Car for Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada

The first week of August is a classic car bonanza in Reno, Nevada. The Hot August Nights event has thousands of participants who show off or admire cars and pickup size trucks made before 1972. Each car must be registered to take part in main events such as Show-n-Shines, the parade, a poker run and cruising at night. Registration must be done online at the official website.

2. Register as early as possible. Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

3. Watch for announcements about on-site registrations if you don't register early. In 2011, the event did have spaces available the weekend of the event. There is a registration fee, but it is subject to change.
