Nothing is worse than a kitchen full of ants--except maybe a houseful of ants. Putting ant poison all over the house isn't a pleasant option. Try making these nontoxic ant poisons yourself. They're easy to make as well as cheaper and safer to use.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 2 tbsp. dry active yeast
  • 6 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • Bottle caps
  • Small bowl
  • Butter knife

Step1
Put ingredients into the bowl. Stir until all is mixed well and a soft paste is formed.
Step2
Scoop out small amounts with your butter knife and fill the bottle caps. Use the knife to flatten the top.
Step3
Place the caps around the house. Slide them under appliances and place them in the back of cupboards. Put them all around the areas where you saw the ants.
Step4
Keep the mixture that you haven't used in a tightly closed jar in a cool dark place.
