How to Make Inexpensive Drain Cleaner That Works

Clogged up drains are not only inconvenient, they can cost a fortune if you have to call a plumber. You can mix up this drain cleaner recipe and use it weekly to keep the clogs away for good.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup cream of tartar
  • Medium jar (3 cups) with a tight-fitting lid
  • Boiling water
  1. Step 1

    Pour all the ingredients into your jar.

  2. Step 2

    Shake well to completely mix.

  3. Step 3

    Pour 1/4 cup of the mixture down the drain.

  4. Step 4

    Follow with 2 cups of boiling water.

  5. Step 5

    Wait 2-3 minutes and flush the drain with cool tap water.

  6. Step 6

    Use this once a week to keep drains smelling sweet and clog free.
