Things You'll Need:
- If you use natural eggs: Natural egg dyes
- If you use wooden eggs: spray paint in Easter colors
- Sticker paper for ink jet printers (available at your local office supply store)
- Ink jet printer
- Computer
-
Step 1
Prepare your eggs.
If you're using natural eggs, dye the eggs according to the instructions on the package. If you plan on using wooden eggs, spray paint your wooden eggs with several coats of spray paint in a variety of Easter colors. If you want to be adventurous, sprinkle some glitter onto the drying paint. Allow your eggs to dry thoroughly before proceeding. -
Step 2
Prepare your graphics.
Search the internet for free clip art with Easter motifs such as bunny rabbits and baskets to display on your eggs. You can even use springtime motifs such as flowers. Once you've chosen the graphics you want to apply to your Easter eggs, resize them using a graphic design program so they'll fit onto the egg when printed. You can even spell out the name of a special person in your family to create a personalized Easter egg just for them. -
Step 3
Print out your graphics.
Once you have your graphics sized and ready to print, insert the sticker paper into the paper holder of your ink jet printer. Print them out. You can use scissors to cut or trim them to make them smaller. -
Step 4
Apply the stickers.
Now you can enjoy applying your newly created stickers to your freshly painted or dyed Easter eggs. If you used, wooden eggs, you can spray with an acrylic finish to protect your eggs. If you used natural eggs, avoid using any kind of toxic spray. -
Step 5
Display your eggs.
Now it's time to display your eggs. Find a suitable basket. Decorate it with ribbon, bows, flowers, and other Easter embellishments. Add a nest of multicolored ribbons or tulle and add your eggs to the basket. Put your new basket out on display for all to see.
