If you ever wanted to surf the net on your television, in the comfort of your couch here's your chance!!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nintendo Wii
  • Broadband Internet connection connected to the Wii (wireless or wired)
  1. Step 1
    Wii Channel Main menu
     
    Wii Channel Main menu

    First click on the Wii Shop Channel on the Wii Channel menu.

  2. Step 2
    Wii shop Channel.
     
    Wii shop Channel.

    Next click on the "Start Shopping option"

  3. Step 3
    Wii Shop Channel
     
    Wii Shop Channel

    Then click on the "Wiiware" option.

  4. Step 4

    Select and download "Internet Channel"

  5. Step 5
    Download
     
    Download

    Click YES to "Download software now"

  6. Step 6
     

    After download is successful click OK.

  7. Step 7
     

    On the Wii Channel Main menu you should now see "Internet Channel as an option". Click on the Internet Channel.

  8. Step 8
     

    In the Internet Channel select the Web Address option and type in a search.

    Now just sit back and relax and start browsing. Happy Surfing !!

Tips & Warnings
  • Note that as of June 2007 the Wii web browser by Opera Software will cost 500 Wii points to download.
  • When connecting to the Wii Shop Channel it may prompt you to complete a Wii system update before moving forward, follow these instructions as the Wii will not let you into the Shop Channel otherwise.
  • Wii points can be purchased at most retailers that sell the Nintendo Wii, for example, Target and Amazon. Additionally you can purchase Wii points on the Wii Shopping Channel.
