Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Thyme plants or seeds
  • Vegetable garden
  1. Step 1

Take advantage of thyme's versatility. Thyme is one of the most versatile herbs you can plant because you can use it throughout the kitchen and garden, as well. These plants repel many pests in the garden and are friendly companions to a host of vegetables and plants.

  2. Step 2

Plant thyme near tomatoes, potatoes eggplant and cabbage. But it works well in many areas throughout the vegetable and herb garden, as it's good with many other herbs, as well.

  3. Step 3

Offer thyme full sun and well-drained soil. You can sow seeds; it's very easy to grow from seed. It's best to plant common or other upright thymes in the vegetable garden because the spreading types of the plant may tend to take over your vegetables.

  4. Step 4

Thyme doesn't have any known enemies, so plant it where you like in the garden.
