Ginkgo biloba is one of the most popular herbal supplements on the market, but it is not for everyone. It is known to help restore memory and improve circulation. Evidence shows that it may help Alzheimer’s patients and has even been found to help with treating Tinnitus-ringing in the ear. But it's not for everyone. As with any supplement that can be purchased over the counter, you need to make sure that Ginkgo biloba is right for you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A doctor who is familiar with supplements and can guide you in the proper use.

Step1
Check with your doctor first. Let him know that you are going to use Ginkgo biloba. Make sure that there will not be any side effects related to any prescriptions you are already on. Most doctors are familiar with the most popular supplements and even prescribe them sometimes.
Step2
Read all the information available. For instance, in rare instances it can cause trouble in the gastrointestinal tract, intermittent headaches, rashes and dizziness. If you experience any of these reactions, discontinue use and consult your doctor. Ginkgo biloba thins the blood, and it can have adverse reactions if you take specific classes of medications like anticonvulsants, antidepressants, diabetes medications, blood thinners and others.
Step3
Follow the dosage directions. Going overboard is not a good thing. More Ginkgo biloba will not make you feel better faster.
