Run a Home Based Business Like a Business

Being your own boss is existing and is very rewarding, but it does have some down falls. When you work at home and you are your own boss, there is no such things as sick days. And what is vacation? You own a home based business now and it needs to be run just like any other business. Yes, when it is time to get up, the choice is yours. But if you do not get up you will feel it in your pocket later. So you might as well put a smile on that face and pour your self some coffee, because you got some work to do.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Office supples.
  • Phone.
  • Computer.
  1. Step 1

    YOU MUST KEEP SCHEDULES:
No you no longer working for a gumpy old man, that will fire you if your two minutes late. You are working for yourself and writing your own check. In essence if you do not get to work there will be nothing to write a check for. Get over yourself. The money lost on a non-productive day of shopping coupled with a few dollars paying for new shoes you will never wear makes for a bad. You must manage your time wisely, as well as your budget and be in control of your home businesses finances.

  2. Step 2

    SET GOALS AND KEEP THEM.
Sit down and set some goals for your home business. What do you want to accoplish daily? Monthly? And yearly?
If you do not challenge yourself with something each day your business will not grow. When you reach your goal, increase, then increase it again.

  3. Step 3

    REWARD YOURSELF
People who own their own home based business more often than not work 60 or 70 hours a week. You and only you can determine what it is that motivates you. You no longer are being assessed with performance reviews and the like. The bonus system you became accustomed to previously is a thing of the past. But you must not over work your self or you will burn out and never accomplish the goals you set out to do.
