Kurabie is a delicious biscuit like dessert Greeks usually make during Christmas holidays as a tradition.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup cooking fat
  • 1/2 cup powder sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peeled almonds
  • 4-5 cups four
  • some ouzo (optional)
  1. Step 1

First of all put the almonds in a blender and work until they are almost dust. Work the butter and fat along with the sugar in the mixer until they are white and fluffy. Add 2 cups of flour, the vanilla and the almonds. Knead softly pouring as much flour as it needs until the mixture doesn't stuck on your fingers.

  2. Step 2

Don't knead for long, form small biscuits (you can be creative here) and bake them for 30' on 175oC.

  3. Step 3

When you take them out you can sprinkle some ouzo on them. Sprinkle powder sugar on them until they are covered completely and let them cool down.
