You are unwinding after a long a long day's work and the phone rings, it's someone trying to peddle their products or services. NO, I don't want to talk to you and how did you get my number? I will show you how easily you can add your phone numbers to the National Do Not Call registry.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Your phone numbers
  1. Step 1

    Visit https://www.donotcall.gov/ and click on the tab marked "Register Now"

  2. Step 2

    1. Enter up to three phone numbers and your email address. Click Submit.
    2. Check for errors. Click Register.
    3. Check your email for a message from Register@donotcall.gov. Open the email and click on the link to complete your registration.

  3. Step 3

    Then you can verify that your number was received by visiting this page:
    https://www.donotcall.gov/confirm/conf.aspx Fill out the form and hit submit, Verify Registration -- Check for Errors -- Receive an Email

    Step Three: Receive an Email

    You should receive an email from Verify@donotcall.gov within a few minutes.

    If your phone number is registered, the email will tell you the date of registration. If your phone number is not registered and you want it to be, use this Web site.

    This browser window does not need to remain open to complete the verification process.
