Italy and wine go together like peanut butter and jelly. In every region for every meal, there is something new and exciting to taste. Here are just a few ideas on how to make the most of your trip around the world of vino.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Ask for recommendations. Most servers in Italy are used to tourists trying the best wines from their country and are happy to share. If you have a price range you’d like to stay in, make sure you mention that.
Step2
Ask if there’s a good pairing with food that you order.
Step3
Keep trying new things. If there’s a wine that you’ve fallen in love with, great. Pick some up to take home with you. But if you don’t keep trying new things, you may never find your true favorite.

Tips & Warnings

  • Find out how much wine you can take home with you on the airplane (if you’re traveling by air). If it’s not enough in your opinion, see if you can find a wine shop that will ship some home for you.
