Things You'll Need:

  • Pipe cleaner
  • Thick marker

  1. Step 1

Twist three pipe cleaner stripes together connecting them end to end.

  2. Step 2

Wrap the pipe cleaners around the outside of a thick marker to make the body of dinosaur. Set aside.

  3. Step 3

Now connect two pieces of pipe cleaner end to end and wrap it around a pencil forming the neck and head of your dinosaur but leaving about 1” of excess at the bottom.

  4. Step 4

Next attach the neck and head to the body by twisting the 1” excess of the pipe cleaner around the front of the body and glue together.

  5. Step 5

For the tail coil one pipe cleaner around your pencil leaving the 1” excess again so that you can attach it to the body.

  6. Step 6

Create legs by bending two pieces of pipe cleaner into V-shapes and coiling each end of the pipe cleaners.

  7. Step 7

Insert the legs into the coils of the body and glue together.

  8. Step 8

Glue google eyes on the face and pose the dinosaur in the desired position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use fun colors of pipe cleaners to make a colorful herd of ancient dinosaur creatures. Liven up your creation by making the body, head and legs different colors.
  • Coil the pipe cleaner evenly around your pencil and make sure the legs are the same length on both sides.
  • Add other embellishments to your dinosaur like a yarn mouth or a small felt hat.
