Stamps can be used to embellish fabric as well as scrapbook layouts and cards. Using stamps to decorate baby accessories is easier than you may think. You can use stamps to embellish burp clothes, onesies, socks, bibs and more. Follow a few simple steps and you will be on your way to crafting rare baby items with ease.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer iron-on transfer papers (HP makes some)
  • Stamps and permanent ink
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Stamp the desired image on the transfer paper. The paper that works best is the computer transfer paper that can be printed on.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the stamped image close to the outline, leaving only a small border.

  3. Step 3

Place the cut out on your baby item and use a hot iron to transfer the image onto the fabric.

  4. Step 4

Once the image is transferred then carefully pull of the top of the paper and you will be left with a perfect design.

  5. Step 5

Follow the directions on your transfer paper packet for best results.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you stamp a dark, perfect image on the paper before attempting to transfer it onto the fabric.
  • If you peel the transfer and it is not coming off the paper completely then lay it back down and go over it again with the hot iron.
  • When washing stamped items it is best to turn the clothing inside-out if possible and wash in cold water with mild detergent to prevent fading.
  • Permanent ink works best for longer wear.
