Shiny foil accents can brighten up a scrapbook page or layout. This delicate paper is a fun way to make your layout sparkle. Foil paper is a great accent for almost any kind of scrapbook theme.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Foil scrapbook paper
  • Wax paper or carbon paper
  • Embossing stylus
  • Stamps
  • Picture image
  1. Step 1

Put a piece of carbon paper or wax paper over the top of your foil paper and place a picture or the image you want to create on top of the wax paper.

  2. Step 2

Now while holding the pieces of paper firmly in place press down with your embossing stylus tracing the desired design.

  3. Step 3

Once the foil accent is finished then you need to trim the foil paper and place the design on your scrapbook page.

  4. Step 4

You can also use a stamp to stamp the image into the foil. Just make sure the foil forms around the stamp to create a complete image.

Tips & Warnings
  • When using stamps rub the foil gently into the stamp to get a clear design; simple stamps that don’t include a lot of detail tend to work best.
  • Foil paper is very delicate so make sure you use a paper in between the foil paper and the embossing stylus.
  • Use foil paper to spell out a name or title topper for your scrapbook page.
