Things You'll Need:
- Scapbook paper
- Eyelets
- Eyelet setter
- Paper trimmer
- Scoring blade or embossing stylus
- Adhesive
- Stamps and ink
-
Step 1
Using different colors of cardstock cut paper into these dimensions.
Light or neutral cardstock: 5 ½” x 8” (greeting card base), 4- 1 7/8” x 1 7/8” squares (these are the squares you are going to stamp).
Colored cardstock: 5 ½” x 4, 4- 2”x2” squares, 9” x 2” strip, ¾” x 4 -
Step 2
Stamp images on the 1 7/8” squares and mat them onto the 2” x 2” colored paper squares.
-
Step 3
Cover your card base 5 ½” x 8” with patterned paper or random stamp it for a colorful background.
-
Step 4
Now score your 9” x 2” strip of paper at the following intervals so that the paper will easily bend (2”, 2 ¾”, 3 ½ “, 4 ¼ “) fold along the scored lines to prep the paper.
-
Step 5
Take your card base and attach the ¾” x 4 paper strip to the bottom half of the card (so that there is about 1” at the bottom). Use eyelets or brads to attach the strip, but do not glue or use adhesive in the middle of the strip.
-
Step 6
Attach the scored end of the 9” x 2” paper strip or the ¾” paper strip that you just attached to the card. Glue it only on the strip so that the bottom part of the large strip hangs done behind (like a pull tab).
-
Step 7
Place your first stamped image on the front of the strip (it should line up where it is scored (2-inch square). Then glue the top of each stamped image to the scored area. Your squares are supposed to move when you pull the bottom so make sure you only put adhesive between the scored marks on the paper.
-
Step 8
Your stamped squares are going to over lap each other on the paper strip.
-
Step 9
Once you have the squares attached properly then you should be able to pull the bottom of the paper strip and watch the pictures flip and then as you push it back up they will fall back into place like a waterfall.
-
Step 10
You can attach a ribbon or embellishment at the bottom of the pull tab if you want to make it stand out.
-
Step 11
Next, apply the finishing touches your card and then stamp a message or greeting inside.

on 1/29/2009 Bright Idea, but I'm a show me learner. Pictures would be nice. :) Thanks for sharing.
