How to do Tissue Inking on your Scrapbook Pages

Simple items like facial tissue can help you create a stamping work of art. Would you ever think that tissue could assist you with stamping designs? Tissue will help you create multicolored stamped images and give them a distinctive texture in the process. Use your tissue stamped creations to embellish any type of scrapbook project.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Stamps
  • Ink pad
  • Facial tissue
  • Scrapbook paper

Step1
Ink your stamp as usual and hold it in one hand or set it up so you can see the base of the stamp
Step2
Take a facial tissue crinkle it while holding it in your hand and dip it into the ink on a stamp pad absorbing as much or as little color as desired.
Step3
Now dab the inked tissue on to your stamp. Repeat with a third color if desired.
Step4
Firmly stamp your image onto the paper. The result with be a textured multicolored image.
Step5
Cut out the stamped images for embellishments or use them as a background for your scrapbook pages

Tips & Warnings

  • Have ink pads and stamps readily available and apply colors in a timely manner so that the ink doesn’t dry before you have a chance to stamp it. A wet, well inked stamp will produce a clear dark image.
  • Dab your tissue lightly onto the stamp to avoid smearing the other colors.
  • Use tissues that are lint-free, fragrance-free and do not contain lotion or moisturizers. Moisturized tissues may leave a residue.
