- Baby food jars of various shapes and sizes, with lids

Step 1
Organize small hardware. You can separate different small hardware pieces, in the garage into these clear glass jars so that you can easily find them when you are doing a project.

Organize small craft items. You can separate small craft items into the various sizes of jars. You can keep eyelets, buttons, craft gems, sequins, googly eyes, magnets and other small items work well to be stored in these convenient jars.

Step 3
Use them as a glitter shaker. When you use glitter for craft projects many times you shake of the excess and throw it away. Now you can take the excess and empty it into a baby food jar and then poke holes carefully in the lid and create your own glitter shaker with various colors.

Make homemade candles in these jars. You can often buy wax and wicks at local craft stores. Follow the directions on these kits using the baby food jars as the candle holder you can make wonderful gifts without having to purchase a glass jar. Tie a cute coordinating ribbon around the jar and even add a gift tag.

Create a cute air freshener. Cover the jar in decorative paper and then punch holes in the lid of the jar. place a couple of cotton balls inside the jar and periodically add a few drops from various scents of oil. The cotton ball will hold the oil in and the scent will release throughout the room out of the holes in the top of the jar.

Use the large size baby food jars to make homemade jams or jellies to give away as gifts. You make a large pot of apple butter in a crock pot very easily and then divide it up into these small jars that are the perfect gift size for teachers, doctors, neighbors. You can even create your own gift labels on your computer and adhere them to the jar.
