How to Make Board Game Greeting Cards

Do you enjoy making cards for friends and family? Try this unique take on homemade cards that is simple, unique, and sure to get a statement. You can easily turn photos of familiar board games into fun and meaningful cards.

Things You'll Need:

• Digital Camera or Film Camera
• Developed Pictures
• Board Games
• Pre-Folded Blank Cards with Envelopes
• Embellishments

1. Get out some of your favorite board games and get ready to photograph them. Here are some easy ones:
   
   - Deck of Cards: Take a picture over someone's shoulder of them holding a hand of cards.
   
   - Scrabble: Spell out words on the scrabble board to send a unique message to someone like.
   
   - Boggle: Photograph the Board with Letters jumbled up.
   
   - Life: Photograph the Board.
   
   - Monopoly: Photograph the board.
   
   - Jinga: Make a tower with the blocks and take a few out, then photograph.

2. Develop the pictures in the way that you normally do. Then bring them home and cut them to size so that you crop out excess and just focus on the subject of your photo.

3. Once you have the pictures ready you can now create your cards. I suggest using pre-Cut and pre-folded cards from a local craft store that you can buy in various sizes and colors. They also normally come with coordinating envelopes.

4. You can be creative with your cards by cutting background paper out or making a photo frame with paper. However, you choose to do it design and adhere the front of your card with your photo placed there. You can use stickers, punches, ribbon, or other embellishments as well if you wish.

5. On the inside of the card write a coordinating caption that goes with the photo you have used. Here are a few suggestions, but be creative and make your own.
   
   - Deck of Cards: "Sometimes life deals us a bad hand." or "Sometimes in life we have to play the hand we are dealt, hang in there."
   
   - Scrabble: "A special message for a special person."
   
   - Boggle: "Sometimes it is hard to see the message in life."
   
   - Life: "In the game of life ___________ (You are top notch), or (We have our ups and downs)... "
   
   - Monopoly: "Great Job! Pass Go and Collect $200!"
   
   - Jinga: " I know it feels like everything is about to fall right now... but I am here for you."

6. Send these fun and unique cards and you are sure to get a great response from your friends and family!
