Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer using Microsoft Windows

Step1
Click “Start” and then click on “Control Panel." If you are using an older version of Windows, click “Start," point to “Settings” and then click on “Control Panel."

If your “Control Panel” is in “Category View," click the option in the task pane that says “Switch to Classic View."

Double-click “Administrative Tools” and then double-click “Computer Management.”
Step4
In the “Console Tree” click on “Disk Management.”
Step5
Click “View” on the taskbar, and then click “Settings.”
Step6
Click on the “Scaling” tab. Under “Display Disks,” select the type of display that you want for disks on the computer system. Click “Apply” and then “OK.”

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are connected to a network, your network policy settings may prevent you from changing how your disk sizes are displayed.
