The supermarket is one of the dirtiest places you can go. Think about it: sick kids sneezing on carts, dirty hands touching fresh produce, filthy change exchanging hands. You can stop the germs and viruses before they make you sick.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Portable disinfectant spray or wipes
  • Hand sanitizer

Step1
When you get to the store, disinfect the handle of the buggy. Many stores will have a container of disinfectant wipes by the carts. If not, use a good disinfectant spray or wipes that you brought with you.
Step2
After picking up meat packages, use some hand sanitizer to kill any salmonella bacteria.
Step3
Next, remember not to touch your face as you shop. Germs you pick up by touching items will be transfered to your mouth, eyes and nose.
Step4
When you get to your car, use a dollop of hand sanitizer so that you don't transfer any viruses to your car.
Step5
At home make sure that you wash all of your produce well before you put into the fridge and wash your hands after touching meat.
