The Moondancer Winery Folk Festival is an annual event held over Labor Day Weekend. The winery is located in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, between York and Lancaster, with grounds overlooking the Susquehanna River Valley. The beautiful location combined with stellar wines and relaxing music makes for a truly enjoyable weekend retreat.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide whether you'll attend one or both days. The festival occurs from 4-10 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

  2. Step 2

Arrange your accommodations. There are great number of Bed and Breakfasts in the area, since it is part of what is considered Amish country. For those interested in staying directly at the site of the festival, the winery owners have agreed to allow tent camping on a limited basis. Call and request this in advance at (717)-252-WINE.

  3. Step 3

Arrive on the day of the festival with the admission fee of $20 a day, which includes wine tastings and a souvenir glass. Designated drivers are charged $10 a day for admission.

  4. Step 4

Enjoy the wine tastings inside and select your favorites for purchase. Drink responsibly.

  5. Step 5

Find a cozy spot on the patio or lawn. You can bring your own lawn chair or blanket if you like.

  6. Step 6

Relax and listen to some great regional talent. Find out who is playing by either contacting the winery by phone or looking at their website as the festival date approaches.

Tips & Warnings
