Instructions

    • 1

Choose which books to sell at the flea market. Used books are great sellers, especially cookbooks, nonfiction, craft and children's books.

    • 2

Pack books by type in cardboard boxes or crates for transport. Pack shopping bags -- used grocery store bags are fine, and free -- marker and poster board to make signs, tape, a table cloth and table, and drive to the flea market.

    • 3

At the flea market, cover the table and arrange the books by type in neat piles or standing up so their spines are visible to shoppers.

    • 4

Create signs and hang them up. These should show prices for each type of books: paperbacks are 50 cents, hardcover novels are $1 and nonfiction priced as marked. Price your books accordingly.

    • 5

Sell the books. Be prepared to haggle prices with the customers or give discount prices on quantity purchases.

    • 6

At the end of the day, pack up the leftovers, drive home and count your money.

Tips & Warnings

  • Sell only books in good condition.

  • Some books do not sell well like romance paperbacks, condensed books and outdated nonfiction.
