We all live in a stressful, negative world. This breathing exercise will help to relieve you of stress while replacing it with positive energy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Fifteen minutes of "you" time
  • A room where you won't be disturbed
  • Meditative music (optional)
  1. Step 1

    Set on the floor with legs crossed. If you can't do this, a chair or your bed will do. Make sure to keep your back straight.

  2. Step 2

    Breath in for 3 counts, exhale for 3 counts and hold for 3 counts. Do this five times.

  3. Step 3

    Continue breathing and imagine a bright white light as you inhale. As you exhale imagine you're blowing out a black cloud of negative energy.

  4. Step 4

    Repeat this for 15 minutes. Finish by repeating a self-affirmation of your choosing. Focus on correcting something that causes you stress, something that you can do differently.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do this exercise as often as you can through the week.
