Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Make sure you have a partner who you will be able to pick up and support when you try this move. Dress in comfortable dancing clothes when you are starting out so that your body is totally flexible.

  2. Step 2

Stand across from your partner and hold his/her hands. Stand about 2 feet apart. Pretend to look at your watch as you turn your partner in towards your chest slowly. Now your partner has been fully rotated and is standing beside you.

  3. Step 3

Send your partner back out by bringing your hands back to where you started. Practice again by pulling your partner in towards you, making sure your arm raises above the head.

  4. Step 4

Put on some jazz music and try the sweetheart move. After trying it again and again, you will find it as easy as breathing. You can also continue to learn a variety of other swing dancing moves.

  5. Step 5

Get dressed in some jazzy clothes now and head to a swing club to practice your new sweetheart move. Go at your own pace and only do the moves you know. Practice new moves at home.
