Few things convey youth and health more than a nice, white smile. While there are products on the market to help you regain whiter teeth, there are ways you can make them appear whiter that won't cost you a thing. Try these tips to whiten your teeth without products.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Steer clear of beverages that stain your teeth, such as colas and red wine. You may also lessen their teeth staining properties by sipping these beverages through a straw.

  2. Step 2

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses a day. Not only is this good for your health overall, but it will keep you from drinking other things that may stain your teeth.

  3. Step 3

Eat foods that are natural teeth cleaners, such as apples and celery. Some foods, such as broccoli and spinach, create a protective film on your teeth that helps them stay whiter.

  4. Step 4

Enhance the whiteness of your teeth through contrasting colors. The right shade of shirt for your coloring, a nice tan obtained through self-tanners or a dark red lipstick all have the ability to make your teeth appear whiter in contrast.

  5. Step 5

Stay away from tobacco products, which stain your teeth in addition to the other negative side effects of tobacco.

  6. Step 6

Practice good oral hygiene overall. Brush at least twice daily to remove tartar and plaque, and see your dentist for regular check-ups twice a year. Keeping your teeth and gums healthy will go a long way in whitening your teeth without products.
