Step 1
Start with your body and feet facing sideways rotated away from your opponent. You perform the side front snap kick like a standard front snap kick, but facing away from your opponent slightly, which allows you to cover your body better and extend the reach of your kick, by twisting your hips forward.
-
Step 2
Protect your body with your hands. Place your front fist in front of you, no higher than your shoulder. You use this hand to protect your upper body and face. Keep your other hand in close to your body, to protect your chest.
-
Step 3
Lift your back leg while rotating your front leg outward. You will kick with your back leg, so lift your knee up to about waist level. Rotate your hips so that they are pointed straight forward.
-
Step 4
Pull back the toes on your kicking foot. You want to strike with the ball of your foot, so make sure that your toes are back and out of the way.
-
Step 5
Snap your kicking foot forward to strike your opponent. When you have fully extended your foot, it should be at least waist high on your opponent. Your foot should be perpendicular to the ground.
-
Step 6
Return your kicking foot back and twist around to your beginning stance. You should return to the same position that you began your kick with your hands still protecting your body. The entire kick should be one fluid movement.

on 9/15/2008 Can you give me a description of the Mondolio chagui kick? I'm translating a surgical technique performed on a Tae-Kwon-Do player who suffered an injury during an attack manoeuver and must give a written description of the technique.
I'd be forerever grateful if anyone can help!
