Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Choose the camera you wish to use to make stop motion animation. Any digital camera with a fire wire output will do. You can choose between a digital camera that's still action or video. Either can work well in this application. If possible, go for the best digital camera that you can afford, for the better pictures or video it's able to take, the better your stop motion animation will be.

  2. Step 2

Get a fire wire that has either four or six pins when you use digital components to make stop motion animation.

  3. Step 3

Pick out what computer you wish to use when getting digital components to make stop motion animation. It can be either a PC or a Mac. The prerequisite for both is a fire wire card. The input for the fire wire must be six pins.

  4. Step 4

Find software for your computer when getting digital components for making stop motion animation. One software that's good for this purpose is Stop Motion Pro, which is available for both the PC and the Mac. Which software you choose is up to you, but it should be able to, not only capture the pictures you take, but organize them for you as well.

  5. Step 5

View your stop motion animation on a good monitor. Buy whatever you can afford, the bigger the better. If you can't afford to get a very big monitor, buy one that as a good clear picture with a lot of pixels.
