Step 1
Begin advanced spins in ice skating by pushing off with your left foot and turning to the right. Keep your arms out and slightly curved.

Finish the first turn by turning around so you face front, and cross over with your left foot so you skate backwards.

Continue making a circle to the right while skating backward as you do advanced spins in ice skating.

Step 4
Swing your shoulders to the left as you lift your left foot and bring it back and forward to create momentum.

Push forward with your right foot and turn until you face forward and continue around a circle to the right as you do advanced spins in ice skating.

Bring up your right foot and swing it out and around to add more momentum to your turn.

Bend your right knee and bring your right heel up toward your heel. Bring your arms in as well, elbows bent and your hands at your chest.

Step 8
Allow your right foot to slowly drop while keeping it crossing it over your left foot, and cross your arms more tightly against your chest. This allows you to spin even more quickly and tightly.

Step 9
End the spin by opening your arms and your right leg and skating backward on your left foot. The position is the "forward stroking position."
