How to Use Halloween Special Effects and Horror Movie Makeup Supplies

A skilled application of special effects makeup can transform any Halloween costume in no time at all. Supplies are available for virtually any monster look imaginable. Practice a few times with makeup to get just the right effect before you next Halloween party.

  1. Step 1

    Collect all supplies and equipment on a table or counter before starting the application. Seat the subject close to the supplies, preferably on a high stool.

    Start with a clean dry skin. Pull the hair back from the face and use a headband to secure it. Put on latex rubber gloves to protect hands from makeup stains.
