The lanes, your bowing ball, your delivery and follow through and the weather can all be factors in your bowling game. What your hand does after the ball leaves it is follow through. The following will give you information on your delivery of the bowling ball.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Practice delivering your bowling ball. You don't need a bowling ball to do this, you can just practice in your home, making sure you have your delivery and follow through down pat. Follow through is making sure that your arm continues after you release your bowling ball.

  2. Step 2

Tuck your elbow into the side and lock it, square your shoulders, straighten and when you release the ball be sure to continue to reach out as if you are shaking hands. If you release the ball and don't follow through you may find the ball will go into the gutter.

  3. Step 3

Work on your follow through with your bowling ball. After practicing the way you should throw the bowling ball without it, you then need to practice with it.

  4. Step 4

Watch to see where your hand is pointing after you release the ball and adjust your arm accordingly. The key to bowling is practice and the more you practice your follow through the better your score.
