Step 1
Locate a paintball field in your area. Go to Paintball.com and click on "Field Locator" to find the paintball field nearest you.
-
Step 2
Examine the field before play. Locate all the bunkers, trenches, woods and houses in the field. This helps you plan attacks and defenses.
-
Step 3
Use the bunkers. Bunkers vary in shape and size. Tube bunkers are large tubes the players crawl through on their hands and knees. Hole bunkers are large holes the players take cover in.
-
Step 4
Play from the trenches. Trenches are large ruts in the ground that a player fights from. Trenches are excellent cover but they do limit a players' movement and speed.
-
Step 5
Work from wooded areas. These areas allow paintball players to hide behind trees and move through the field quickly while still keeping some coverage.
-
Step 6
Utilize the houses and buildings. Buildings usually have small windows that allow players to shoot through. Houses are a risk because other players may enter the house and force a close-combat situation. Some buildings include sniper towers which make a useful vantage point for taking out other paintball players.
