How to Prepare for Sleight of Hand Magic Tricks

Some of the simplest slight of hand tricks involve cups and balls. There are a lot of different types of magic sleight of hand props that are on the market and even a way to make a cup and ball prop at home.

1. Purchase cups and balls in a magic store. You can use all types of cups and balls with a variety of prices. When you get magic sleight of hand props, the same trick can be reproduced even with the most inexpensive props. The more expensive props are just for audience appeal.

2. Make your own magic sleight of hand props at home. You can create a homemade version to begin practicing magic. You don't have to get fancy and the concepts don't vary.

3. Assemble three plastic or paper cups. The smooth plastic cups are easier to work with and a little flashier than white paper cups. Simply purchase these at any paper department of a grocery or variety store.

4. Wad up a some aluminum foil, masking tape, or paper towel to create the ball for you magic. Sleight of hand tricks only require that you have a ball of some type. However, it doesn't even have to be a real ball, just a ball of material.

5. Advance to a store purchased prop once you learn the basics of the sleight of hand tricks and want to show it off to others. You now have an idea of the type of magic slight of hand prop that suites you the best.
