Understand that you do not need to look at the kite to fly the kite better and control how it moves. You do not need to watch your kite at all times to keep it in the air or to improve the tricks and stunts you try to perform.

Turn your back on the kite for a moment now and then while it flies. This helps disconnect your brain so that you are following its lead and the feel of the kite's string in your fingers with no visual distractions.

Pay close attention to the people and all of the other things in the field around you instead of the kite flying in the sky. You will naturally want to see it fly because it looks beautiful, but you should concentrate more on what's going on in the field around you to ensure everyone's safety.

Allow your fingertips to follow the kite's movements and learn its movement patterns in the air to really gain control of the kite as it flies.
