Step 1
Separate the bridles on both sides of the kite. Lay out the trailing edge and the leading edge separately. This may seem simple, but it's an intricate step when you kiteboard.
-
Step 2
Stretch out the line from the kite. Grab up the bar and move backwards so you can stretch out the lines. Make certain that you keep the lines straight and tangle-free as you back up.
-
Step 3
Organize the lines on the bar. When you come from behind the kite, you need to put the black lines on the left side and red on the right hand side of the bar.
-
Step 4
Stand with two of the lines between your legs and two of the lines on the outside of your legs. Walk toward the kite, leaving the bar on the ground behind you.
-
Step 5
Walk toward the kite loosely, holding two lines on each side in your hand. Allow the lines to glide freely through your as walk toward the kite. You're just following the lines with your hands. Take care not to tangle them as you walk toward the kite.
-
Step 6
Complete the kiteboard check of the bridles when you get to the kite. You're now ready to connect the lines.
