Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Miniature muffin tin
  • Vegetable spray
  • Frozen puff pastry
  • Granny Smith apples
  • Aged cheddar cheese
  • Glass measuring cup
  • Eggs and milk or cream
  • Thyme
  1. Step 1

Spray your miniature muffin tins with vegetable spray and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

Cut 2-inch circles out of the puff pastry. Place these in the bottom of the muffin cups to be crusts for your mini-quiches.

  3. Step 3

Dice apples into 1/2-inch pieces and place 1 tsp. of pieces inside the quiche crusts. Sprinkle 1 tsp. of grated cheddar cheese on top of the apple pieces.

  4. Step 4

Crack four eggs into a glass measuring cup and fill it to the 2 cup mark with milk or cream. Add 1 tsp. of thyme and beat the mixture with a fork until they are well mixed.

  5. Step 5

Pour the milk and egg mixture into the muffin cups, filling them to the top. Bake your miniature quiches at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

  6. Step 6

Serve the mini quiches and enjoy the reactions of your guests. Be prepared to share your recipe.

Tips & Warnings
  • Replace the apple in this recipe with any fresh fruit or vegetable you have on hand. Peppers, mushrooms, artichoke hearts or pears would all make delicious holiday appetizers.
  • Use bacon or sausage instead of apple to make a more savory quiche for your holiday celebration.
  • Prepare the quiches a day ahead of time and bake for 25 minutes instead of 30. Then, keep them in the fridge until the party and pop them in the preheated oven for 5 more minutes to serve hot and fresh from the oven.
