The Over and Under is an intermediate hacky sack move. It's a variation of the Around the World, and although it's fairly straightforward, it looks difficult and is sure to impress your footbagging friends. You'll need a few weeks of practice to really get the Over and Under down, though, so be patient and take plenty of time to practice.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stall the hacky sack on the top of your foot. If you're a beginner, simply reach down and place the hacky sack on your shoe.

  2. Step 2

Bend your knee at a 90-degree angle and lift your foot into the air.

  3. Step 3

Toss the hacky sack 1 foot into the air using a quick upward motion of your foot.

  4. Step 4

Keep your tossing leg bent and hop up off of your other leg.

  5. Step 5

Swing your tossing leg over and around the outside of the hacky sack. This is just like doing an Around the World.

  6. Step 6

Catch the hacky sack on the inside of your foot instead of on your instep.

  7. Step 7

Bring the hacky sack behind your body as you land from your hop and flick it around the outside of your standing leg.

  8. Step 8

Catch the hacky sack using a footstall or your hands, if you're a beginner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice flicking the hacky sack forward from behind your body by itself before trying the whole Over and Under.
  • Do the hop, catch and flick with a smooth rhythm to add flair to the move.
