The cha-cha is a sensual Latin dance, descended from the mambo, which is fun and easy for both men and women. Most women think men who can dance are very sexy. A man who can hold his own on the dance floor may soon find himself holding a woman in his arms. Men can incorporate turns into their cha-cha routines.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Face your partner. Hold her right hand loosely in your left hand in front of you. Step backward with your right foot, then your left foot. Quickly step forward with your right foot, then left foot, then right foot to do a step-ball-change (the "cha-cha-cha" part). The counting sequence is 1, 2, 3-and-4.

  2. Step 2

Move your left foot forward. Keep your hand at waist level. Pivot around, turning to the right until you face the opposite direction; place all the weight on your right foot. As you face the back, move her hand to your right hand. Do another step-ball-change, this time starting with the left foot. As you pivot back around to face her, place her hand back in your left hand.

  3. Step 3

Step backward with your right foot, then left foot, then cha-cha-cha. This time, instead of turning around, gently pull your partner's right hand over your head, bringing it to rest on your left shoulder during the cha-cha-cha steps. Do another right, left, cha-cha-cha series to finish a 2-part dance sequence--one involving a turn, the other involving different hand placement.
