Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Begin by facing forward with your feet together.

  2. Step 2

Step right on with your right foot to and rock back to your original position.

  3. Step 3

Shift your weight from your right foot to your left foot and back to your right foot to do the traditional 3-count of the cha-cha dance. Lift each foot off of the ground slightly.

  4. Step 4

Move your left foot to the left and rock back to your original position.

  5. Step 5

Rock your weight from your left foot to your right foot and back again to your left foot. Lift each foot off of the ground slightly.

  6. Step 6

Add additional style to your sideways cha-cha by shifting your hips and shoulders in time with your movements. You can incorporate arm motions as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • Practice your cha-cha dance moves in front of a mirror to perfect your techniques and also by attending dances in ballrooms. You can also ask a coach or other dancers for advice. Practice is the best way to improve your dancing skills.
