Curly hair can be heavy, unruly and frizzy. Sometimes you just want to get it off your face and out of your eyes. One way is to simple pull it back with a barrette. Or you may want to use a headband. A very pretty and stylish option is to twist it back. It's a whimsical look that's easy to achieve. Follow these steps to use the twist technique on your curly hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Comb or pick
  • Bobby pins
  • Hairspray
  1. Step 1

Use a comb to part your hair in the desired place. Choose between a center or side part.

  2. Step 2

Gather a small section of hair from the side of the part. Twist it around a few times. Place it flat against your head. Secure it with a clip or a bobby pin.

  3. Step 3

Leave your hair like that or form other twists for variation. You can gather hair on the opposite side of the part. Twist is and place it against your head. Use a pin to secure it.

  4. Step 4

Separate your hair into smaller sections, if you prefer. You can make as many twists as you like.

  5. Step 5

Consider using decorative, embellished bobby pins to secure the twists.

  6. Step 6

Spray twists with hairspray. Smooth down fly-aways with your fingers.

Tips & Warnings
  • For a sleeker look, apply hair wax or gel to your hair before twisting it.
