Curly hair tends to be more dried out, frizzy and unmanageable. To tame those curls and to lock in some moisture, it is wise to choose a shampoo that is hydrating and that will replenish the hair. After following these simple steps, you will notice that your curly hair is soothed and repaired from heat damage.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Browse through the aisles of your local grocery store to search for hydrating shampoos for curly hair. You will want to buy a few different brands to see which one works best in your hair. While most hydrating shampoos for curly hair have the same main ingredient, the other ingredients may or may not work well for your hair.

  2. Step 2

Buy hydrating shampoos that enhance your curly hair color if it is colored treated. There are various hydrating shampoos made for colored hair to boost blonde, brunette and red hair.

  3. Step 3

Look to buy hydrating shampoo for chemically treated hair if you have a perm or relaxed hair.

  4. Step 4

Use hydrating shampoo for curly hair with hydrating conditioner. If used together, your hair can benefit greatly from the ingredients of both.

  5. Step 5

Massage the hydrating shampoo into your hair thoroughly. Rinse completely and lather in the hydrating conditioner. Let the conditioner sit for a few minutes to make sure that the hair is benefiting from all of the vitamins and ingredients.

  6. Step 6

Use the hydrating shampoo every time you shampoo your hair. If you can avoid shampooing your curly hair every day, this will allow for your hair to repair itself naturally.
