How to Use Windows Hot Keys
Computer users know all the convenience of the mouse. What most do not know is that there are keyboard shortcuts, or hotkeys, that can make computer use much more efficient. There are hotkeys that can do the work of multiple mouse clicks by just pressing a couple of keys on the keyboard.

Hit the "Windows" key to make the start menu appear. Press "Pause" key and the "Windows" to access the system properties dialog box.

Press the "Windows" key plus the following letters to access the specific computer applications or processes. Push "Windows" plus the "D" on the key board to show the desktop. Use the "Windows" and the "M" key to minimize all the applications present on the computer.

Tap the "Windows" Key and at the same time hit the "E" on the keyboard to launch Internet Explorer. Press the "Windows" key plus the "R" key to access the run command in Windows. Push the "Windows" key and the "L" key to lock the operating system.

Hit the "Windows" key, the "Shift" key and "M" key to maximize all the open Windows. Press the "Alt" key and the "Tab" key to shift between open applications. Push the "Alt" plus the "F4" to close the currently open window.

Edit documents with the following hot key commands. Highlight the text, press the "Ctrl" and "X" key to cut the highlighted text. To paste the text hit the "Ctrl" and the "V" key. To copy text using windows hot keys press "Ctrl" plus the "C" key. To select all of the visible text press the "Ctrl" and the "A" key.
